The Opportunity

This newly created position offers an outstanding opportunity for a strategic supply chain leader with a proven track record in transformation and operational excellence to join our executive team.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will shape and execute an end-to-end supply chain strategy that drives business growth through continuous improvement and capital investment. Your leadership and stakeholder engagement skills will be pivotal in successfully executing initiatives ranging from an upgrade of our national cooler network to unlock additional capacity, as well as steering the modernisation of our technology platforms including TMS, WMS, traceability, and analytics.

Following the transformation, you will operate at both the executive level and at the operational level, ensuring day-to-day plans are delivered effectively. As the Supply Chain Director, you will manage a diverse network comprising internal distribution centres (DCs) in Tasmania, New South Wales, and Queensland, as well as a network of third party DCs. Your remit will span DC Operations, Packaging, Transport & Freight, Fruit and Plant Supply, Procurement, and Post Harvest.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and complete the transformation of supply chain operations, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term vision.
  • Developing 5-year supply chain strategic plans to support long term business needs. 
  • Utilise data analytics and financial metrics to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Optimising transport & logistics using data analytics.
  • Leading supply chain procurement & fleet utilisation; lifting supplier performance through scorecards and audits.
  • Sponsoring Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen initiatives and capital programs. 
  • Implementing digital supply chain solutions that improve visibility and traceability. 
  • Establishing a monthly performance reporting framework covering cost, efficiency, DIFOT/service and safety for data‑driven reviews.
  • Building a resilient, high‑performing team and culture through strong leadership and developing capability across multi-site operations.

  • Proven senior leadership of multi‑site supply chains.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement & influencing across internal/external partners.
  • Cold‑chain experience in perishable/FMCG networks with food safety assurance exposure.
  • Successful end‑to‑end delivery of continuous improvement and capital projects (incl. WMS/TMS).
  • Strong financial acumen with experience using analytics to drive cost, efficiency and service outcomes.
  • Advanced negotiation, analytics and project management skills; data‑driven decisions.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain/Logistics coupled with Lean/Six Sigma/Kaizen training.
  • Willingness to travel interstate and internationally.
