We are currently seeking a junior safety professional to join our team based in Docklands. This entry-level position is ideal for someone eager to apply their WHS knowledge while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced operational environment. You will be supporting the National Safety Manager across our operational sites in both Victoria and Tasmania, and responsible for maintaining and updating documentation and systems, supporting training and induction programs, and promoting initiatives across the sites. Under the guidance of the National Safety Manager, you will be exposed to best-practice safety methodologies and have opportunities to grow your skills whilst making meaningful impacts. 

Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing administrative support across all key safety activities including documentation, maintenance of systems and registers.
  • Providing support as the nominated administrator for our safety management system, ensuring all inductions, training records, and certifications are up to date and accurate across all our nursery sites.
  • Assisting in the safety induction and training of new staff, including contractors.
  • Providing day-to-day support to site supervisors and managers by helping populate safety documentation and support the achievement of site-specific safety goals.
  • Assisting in the implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Working with sites to promote safety engagement and wellbeing initiatives.
  • Working closely with the National Health and Safety Manager on a variety of safety-related activities across our Victorian and Tasmanian nursery sites.

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary qualifications in occupational health and safety 
  • Ability to proficiently use Microsoft products (Word, Powerpoint, Excel etc.)
  • Effective communication (both written and verbally)
  • Demonstrates professionalism when engaging with stakeholders at all levels, consistently embodying Driscoll's core values of Passion, Humility and Trustworthiness.
  • Willingness to travel locally and interstate from time to time.
  • Valid unrestricted Australian working rights
