THE OPPORTUNITY….
Driscoll's is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead fruit quality performance across our supply chain, playing a key role in transforming and embedding our Quality Management System and elevating quality capability across the business.
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, you will be responsible for driving product quality, consistency, shelf life outcomes and retailer performance while coaching and supporting a national team of Quality Control Officers across our network of distribution centres.
This is a business-critical role with significant influence across growers, operations, supply chain, sales and customers. You will drive continual improvement across product quality and post-harvest management while ensuring our Quality Management System remains effective and fit for purpose. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Coaching and development of quality control teams.
- Maintenance and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System and implementation of new systems.
- Leading strategic Quality initiatives and project management.
- Leading cold chain compliance including setting of standards, from farm to customer shelf.
- Analysing quality trends, customer feedback, rejects and retailer performance to identify improvement opportunities.
- Leading investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions relating to quality issues.
- Partnering with growers, DC's and operational teams to improve product consistency and shelf life.
- Supporting new product introductions and product performance initiatives.
- Developing quality standards, reporting frameworks and performance measures.
- Building strong relationships with key retail customers and internal stakeholders.
ABOUT YOU…
- Degree qualifications in Agriculture, Food Science or a related discipline.
- Experience in a similar role within fresh produce or perishable goods.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and post-harvest management principles.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across multiple functions.
- Ability to travel interstate from time to time.
- Unrestricted working rights.
