QC Officer

THE ROLE

At Driscoll’s, we are passionate about making ordinary moments more special with the most delicious berries! As a QC Officer, you will be working with our dedicated team at our Bundaberg distribution centre, to ensure our berries is of the highest quality. Reporting to the National Supply Chain Manager, you will be supporting the operations by monitoring, and evaluating the quality of pre and post packaged berries. You will also be playing a vital role in ensuring all our berries align with regulatory requirements and exceed customer specifications. 

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Supporting site management in fruit coordination through assessing quality and shelf life. 
• Monitoring fruit quality upon arrival and providing timely feedback to growers and regional teams.
• Overseeing compliance with QA/QC policies and procedures across the site.
• Conducting fruit quality assessments in line with both Driscoll’s and consumer standards.
• Ensuring QC equipment have been checked, calibrated, and meets operational requirements.
• Supporting internal quality audits and implementation of improvement initiatives.
• Compiling daily QC reports for the operations team.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this role, applicants will need to demonstrate capabilities in the following:

• Previous experience working in QA/Food Safety with fresh produce is highly regarded.
• Previous experience working within a warehouse environment is preferred, but not essential. 
• Ability to supervise and train casual staff.
• Experienced with Microsoft Suite and warehouse systems. 
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously and quickly troubleshoot issues.
• Valid forklift licence or ability to obtain one.
• Availability to work a flexible roster (4 days on, 3 days off)
