THE OPPORTUNITY

Join Driscoll’s Nursery Leadership Program - an 18 month, hands on development journey designed to fast track your career in plant production and nursery operations.  This role is ideal for graduates and early career professionals who want to understand how large scale nursery operations function, while building the technical, operational and leadership foundations needed for future roles.

As part of a global leader in berry propagation and horticultural innovation, you will work alongside experienced industry mentors and gain practical, on the ground experience across the nursery.

Throughout the program, you will rotate across key nursery functions, gaining exposure to the full plant production lifecycle, from propagation through to operational planning.  This is an opportunity to grow with purpose, learn from experts, and build the foundations of a rewarding career in sustainable agriculture.

Some of your key responsibilities during rotations, will include:

• Support propagation, plant care, production and general nursery operations
• Assistant with clean stock procedures, quality checks and technical tasks
• Contribute to planning activities, understanding nursery cost drivers and operational data
• Small team coordination during daily tasks
• Follow safety protocols, identify hazards and model a safety-first mindset
• Engage with cross-functional teams across the Nursery function
  

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Whether you are a recent graduate, early-career professional or someone with hands-on experience in agriculture or related fields, we encourage you to apply, if you have a background or strong interest in the following:

• Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness, Science, with an interest in plant biology, agronomy or environmental systems
• Supply Chain or Logistics, with a focus on agri-sector applications
• A willingness to learn, rotate between functions, and work outdoors in variable conditions
• Strong communication skills and ability to work respectfully across diverse teams
• Commitment to safety, quality and compliance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A valid driver’s license 
• Full unrestricted Australian working rights
