THE OPPORTUNITY

We have multiple exciting opportunities for those seeking a career outdoors, to join our friendly team at our nursery site based in Perth, Tasmania. As a team leader, you will not only be learning to perform important hands on field work, including operating forklifts, tractors, and working with farm implements and irrigation equipment, but leading teams of seasonal casual labour to ensure production targets are achieved for your area. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Lead and support small teams (seasonal and casual workers) across daily nursery operations.
• Coordinate day-to-day labour activities in assigned work areas.
• Carry out hands-on nursery tasks including planting, harvesting and general field work.
• Operate tractors, forklifts, ATVs, farm implements and irrigation equipment.
• Assist with irrigation set-up, checks, repairs and basic maintenance.
• Support training of seasonal and labour hire workers to ensure correct procedures are followed.
• Monitor work quality, productivity and plant standards.
• Promote safe work practices and report any safety, performance or personnel concerns to Nursery Management.

ABOUT YOU

• Have an enthusiastic, can-do attitude
• Can communicate well with others
• Current drivers licence
• Valid, unrestricted Australian working rights 
• Preferred: Forklift and/or tractor experience.
