THE ROLE

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced DC Manager to join us at our new DC in Bundaberg, QLD. Reporting directly to the National Supply Chain Manager, you will be at the forefront of leading the warehouse and distribution function, with the primary objective of optimising productivity and efficiencies as the region continues to grow..

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Proactive planning and management of all site operations for optimisation of resources to budget and timing plans. 
  • Oversight and accountability of site DC operations including receipt of stock, QC, order allocations, packaging, labelling, dispatch, and logistics 
  • Management of site requirements including raw materials, equipment, and maintenance programs.
  • Management of DC personnel including recruitment, performance management, coaching and mentoring. 
  • Management of site safety compliance activities and building a strong safety culture. 
  • Developing short and long-term capacity plans extending to site capacity, labour, and infrastructure requirements.
  • Formulating operational budgets and plans including capital works.
  • Identifying continuous improvement opportunities including implementation of operational performance metrics and KPI’s. 


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this role, applicants will need to demonstrate capabilities in the following:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse and distribution environment within a medium to large scale operation, preferably exposure to cold chain storage 
  • Strong planning, analytical and reporting capabilities
  • Experience in developing and maintaining high-performance teams and culture 
  • Safety conscious with understanding of best-practice warehouse safety systems and processes
  • Ability to achieve and drive the financial plans and operational targets at a site level 
  • Ability to apply a continuous improvement approach 
  • Ability to work well under pressure 
  • Valid forklift licence or ability to obtain one.
  • Availability to work a flexible roster (4 days on, 3 days off)
