THE OPPORTUNITY
Are you passionate about uncovering what drives consumer behaviour and shaping sensory experiences? We have an exciting opportunity for a Consumer Insights Coordinator to join our Applied Research Team at our Docklands HQ.
In this newly created role, you’ll take the lead on our sensory evaluation programs – coordinating internal and external taste panels and trialling new exclusive genetics to assess their potential success in the commercial market. Reporting to the Applied Research Manager, you’ll be the champion for understanding consumer preferences and turning insights into action. Your work will ensure every berry delights our customers.
Some of your key responsibilities will extend to:
- Leading and coordinating consumer testing activities, including taste panels, in-store tasting, and trial plot evaluations
- Collecting, preparing, and managing fruit samples for sensory, shelf-life, and shipping assessments
- Analysing and reporting on consumer insights data accurately and on time
- Collaborating with the global sensory and post-harvest teams to align priorities
- Supporting marketing and packaging development with consumer feedback
ABOUT YOU
To be considered, applicants will need to be able to demonstrate the following in your application:
- Tertiary qualifications in Horticultural or Food Sciences is preferred but not essential.
- Previous experience in a sensory and consumer insights, experimental design, or similar role is advantageous.
- Current certification or ability to obtain a ServSafe Food Handler Certificate.
- Intermediate proficiency of Microsoft Office products and Power Bi
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Full unrestricted Australian working rights
- Ability to travel interstate as required
