THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a great opportunity to step into a unique role that supports the quality and integrity of Driscoll's clean stock program.  You will be part of a hands-on, practical team environment where your work directly contributes to plant health, nursery performance and future supply of our premium berry varieties.  The role offers exposure across different parts of the business, including nursery operations, technical teams and third-party nurseries, making it a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, problem solving and working with plants in a field-based environment.

Some of your key responsibilities during rotations, will include:

  • In this role, you will support day-to-day Clean Stock activities across our nursery sites and 3rd party nurseries, helping ensure our plants are healthy, accurately tracked and produced to the required standards.
  • You will spend time in the field observing plant growth, checking for abnormalities, collecting samples and recording information that supports decision-making across the program.
  • You will also help maintain accurate records, track key activities and share findings with the right people so any risks or follow-up actions can be managed early.
  • The role works closely with teams across nursery operations, tissue culture, agronomy and horticulture, so strong communication and a practical, team-focused approach will be important.
  • You will support continuous improvement by identifying issues, raising observations and helping maintain safe, compliant and consistent work practices across the program.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this role, applicants will need to demonstrate capabilities in the following:

  • Experience or qualifications in agriculture, horticulture, plant health or a related field.
  • A practical understanding of nursery operations, plant health, pest and disease monitoring, or a similar production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence collecting, recording and working with data.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across different teams and sites.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and other systems to manage records and information.
  • A proactive and curious approach, with the ability to notice issues, ask questions and follow things through.
  • Willingness to complete hands-on field work, including some repetitive or physical tasks.
  • Current driver’s licence and ability to travel between sites as required.
  • Agricultural spray certificate and First Aid Level 2 would be highly regarded, or willingness to obtain where required.
  • Valid unrestricted Australian working rights
