THE OPPORTUNITY

You will support the Nursery finance team by maintaining financial records, processing accounts payable, invoice reconciliation, month-end/year-end tasks, inventory management, and assisting with accurate financial reporting. 

Some of your responsibilities will include:

• Maintain and report financial documents, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Assist with invoice coding, reconciliation, accounts receivable, and accounts payable using SAP.
• Assist with reconciling invoices for labour hire, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contractual agreements.
• Support month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring timely journal entries and reconciliations.
• Participate in inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, record monthly stock movements, and ensure accurate data entry in the system.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this role, applicants will need to demonstrate capabilities in the following:

• Tertiary Qualifications in Accounting is essential 
• Previous experience in a similar role within manufacturing and/or horticulture environment is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and with some exposure to SAP and BI tools
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines
• Strong verbal communication skills and able to work well with all levels of business stakeholders
• Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
• Effective in cross-functional team collaboration
• A demonstrated commitment to safety, compliance, and fostering a positive team culture.
• Valid, unrestricted Australian working rights
